This page explains how to stop Ostuu from using a connected social account and how to ask Ostuu to delete your account and the application data stored with it. Meta and other platforms may link here as Ostuu’s data-deletion instructions.
1. Disconnect a social channel
If you no longer want Ostuu to publish to Facebook, Instagram, or another connected network:
- Sign in to Ostuu.
- Open Channels.
- Disconnect the Facebook Page, Instagram Professional account, or other channel.
Disconnecting deactivates that channel in Ostuu. Ostuu will no longer use it for publishing, and pending scheduled posts to that channel are not published. This removes Ostuu’s authorization to keep using that channel as an active publishing destination.
Disconnecting a channel does not automatically delete stored OAuth credentials or your Ostuu account. You can also revoke Ostuu’s app access from Facebook, Instagram, or the other network’s account settings.
2. Request deletion of your Ostuu account and stored data
Ostuu does not currently provide an automated in-app control that deletes an entire account and all stored application data. To request deletion, use the contact form.
3. What to include
In your request, include:
- The email address associated with your Ostuu account
- A clear request to delete the Ostuu account and associated stored data
We may need to verify that you control that account before completing the request.
What Ostuu will generally delete
When a deletion request is completed, Ostuu will generally delete:
- Connected account and channel records, including Facebook Page and Instagram Professional account identifiers stored by Ostuu
- Stored OAuth credentials, tokens, and other channel secrets
- Drafts, scheduled content, publishing history, media records, and other account-associated application data
Some information may remain if Ostuu is legally required to retain it, or for a short period as needed to finish the request and keep the service secure. Content already published to Facebook, Instagram, or another network is not removed from that network by deleting your Ostuu account; you would need to delete it there.
Clerk, the social networks you connected, and other processors may also hold information under their own policies. Revoking Ostuu in those products, or asking them to delete data they hold, is separate from this request.
